My approach to strategic branding and design.
Til' Depth Do Us Part
01
deep DiVE
coffee, chat & clarify.
Before we talk logos, layouts, or color palettes, we take a step back and look at the bigger picture.
I want to understand what you're building, who you're trying to reach, what challenges you're facing, and where you ultimately want to go. Because without clarity, design becomes decoration. With clarity, it becomes a powerful business tool.
During this phase, you'll complete a guided onboarding process where we define project goals, gather content and inspiration, identify priorities, and establish a clear roadmap for success.
Think of this stage as laying the foundation. The stronger the foundation, the stronger everything built on top of it.
What to expect:
-
A thoughtful questionnaire helps me understand your business, audience, goals, challenges, and vision before we ever meet. The more context I have upfront, the more intentional and productive our time together will be.
-
This is our opportunity to connect, discuss your project in depth, and align on expectations. We'll clarify priorities, answer questions, and make sure we're building toward the right outcomes from day one.
-
Together, we'll identify what success looks like for your project. Whether it's increasing visibility, attracting new customers, launching a new offering, or strengthening your brand, every decision moving forward will support these goals.
-
Understanding who you're trying to reach is just as important as understanding your business. We'll explore your audience's needs, motivations, behaviors, and expectations so we can create work that genuinely connects.
-
We'll collect existing materials, messaging, imagery, inspiration, and assets needed to move forward. This helps ensure the project is grounded in accurate information and aligned with your vision.
-
You'll receive a clear roadmap outlining milestones, deliverables, responsibilities, and timelines. This creates transparency and keeps the project moving efficiently from start to finish.
02
define + Direct
strategy takes the wheel.
Once we understand the destination, it's time to map the route.
This is where ideas begin to take shape through research, exploration, and creative thinking. Depending on the project, I may be developing visual directions, mapping website user journeys, organizing content structure, or exploring campaign concepts.
This phase isn't about making things look cool. It's about making intentional decisions that support your goals and resonate with the people you're trying to reach.
Every concept has a reason behind it. Every direction is informed by what we've learned together.
What to expect:
-
This is where ideas begin to take shape. I'll explore multiple creative directions and possibilities before narrowing down the strongest solutions for your goals and audience.
-
Moodboards help establish the visual tone and emotional direction of the project. They allow us to align on aesthetics, personality, and overall creative direction before design development begins.
-
We'll identify what makes your business different and why it matters. This helps create a stronger foundation for visual decisions and ensures your brand occupies a distinct space in the minds of your audience.
-
For campaigns and promotional materials, I'll develop creative concepts that connect your message to your audience. These ideas are designed to support your goals while remaining authentic to your brand.
-
For website projects, we'll organize content into a clear and intuitive structure. This ensures visitors can easily find what they're looking for while supporting your business objectives.
-
We'll evaluate and prioritize information so your audience receives the right message at the right time. Strong content structure improves clarity, engagement, and decision-making.
03
design + rEFINE
it starts to feel real.
Ah yes, my favorite part.
Think of a sculptor standing in front of a block of marble. The vision is already there. The process is simply revealing it.
This is where strategy meets execution and your brand begins to take shape. Whether we're creating a visual identity, building a website, or developing marketing assets, every element is designed with clarity, consistency, and usability in mind.
You'll be part of a structured feedback process where we review, refine, and strengthen the work together. We'll step back, evaluate, make adjustments, and repeat until everything feels aligned and intentional.
My role isn't just to create. It's to guide. I'll help you navigate decisions, avoid unnecessary distractions, and keep the work focused on what matters most.
Built to last.
And yes, built to look good as hell too.
What to expect:
-
You'll receive thoughtfully crafted concepts based on the brand and marketing strategy we established. I don't simply show designs for the fun of it. I explain the thinking behind them so you can make informed decisions with confidence.
-
Once a direction is selected, the design is refined and expanded into a cohesive system. Every element is crafted to work together and support your brand consistently across different applications.
-
Feedback is an important part of the process. Structured revision rounds give us the opportunity to refine the work collaboratively while maintaining momentum and strategic alignment.
-
For websites and digital experiences, we'll review how people interact with the design and identify opportunities to improve usability. Great design should feel effortless to navigate and understand.
-
Throughout the project, I'll guide visual and strategic decisions to ensure consistency and cohesion. My role is to help balance your preferences with what will best serve your audience and objectives.
-
Before moving into production, we'll review all deliverables together and confirm that everything is polished, aligned, and ready for launch. This final checkpoint ensures confidence on both sides.
04
deliverY
let’s f*cking go.
Once everything is finalized, I prepare and organize all deliverables so they're ready for implementation and future growth.
Depending on the project, this may include brand assets, style guides, website launch support, marketing collateral, templates, or training resources.
My goal isn't to create dependency. It's to leave you feeling confident, equipped, and in control of your brand moving forward.
Of course, if you need ongoing creative support, I'm always happy to continue the partnership.
But whether we're working together for two weeks or two years, you'll walk away with tools that are yours to own and use with confidence.
What to expect:
-
All approved files will be packaged, organized, and delivered in formats appropriate for both print and digital use. You'll have easy access to everything you need moving forward.
-
If included in your project, your brand guide will provide clear instructions for using logos, colors, typography, and visual elements consistently. Think of it as a roadmap for maintaining brand integrity over time.
-
For website projects, I'll assist with launch preparation and final quality checks to ensure everything functions properly. My goal is to make the transition from development to launch as smooth as possible.
-
Your files will be thoughtfully - almost tediously - organized and labeled so they're easy to locate, share, and use long after the project is complete.
-
I'll provide guidance on how to get the most value from your new assets and where they can be applied effectively. Small recommendations often make a big difference in maintaining consistency.
-
Some clients need continued creative support after launch, while others are ready to run with what we've built together. If additional design, marketing, or strategic support is needed, we can discuss ongoing partnership options.
